STEPHEN KINSEY
Stephen Kinsey, has dedicated his life to helping and working for the people. Whether it’s advocating for people with intellectual disabilities, ensuring that our seniors receive the proper care they deserve, leading the charge for safe streets or fighting for funding
to educate our children, Stephen Kinsey has always stepped up to ensure that the rights of others are protected.
As a graduate of West Chester University and earning his MBA from Eastern University, Kinsey knows firsthand the importance of education and has worked vigorously with schools, leading students on the path to success and not the path to prison. He serves as a mentor and has established scholarships to 2 local schools in the Philadelphia area.

Since being elected as the Pennsylvania Sate Representative for the 201st legislative district in 2012, Rep Kinsey has lead the charge to help grow Pennsylvania’s economy by supporting small businesses, supporting good jobs that pay real wages, offer benefits and an opportunity for hard-working taxpayers to retire. He pushed for Medicaid expansion, working to ensure that every Pennsylvanian have affordable health care and are able to see their doctor without going into debt and he has worked with Governor Tom Wolf to bring millions of dollars for economic development to his district.
A leader in the PA State House, Kinsey was elected by his peers in 2018 to serve as the chairman of the powerful Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus for the 2019-20 Legislative Session. He has also been selected to serve as subcommittee chairman to every committee he serves on, in addition to being appointed by Governor Tom Wolf to serve as a trustee at West Chester University, and appointed to serve on the PA Minority Business Development Authority Board.
Kinsey is the proud father of four daughters, Shawnessa, Lanessa, Wynessa and Myla. He is actively involved with local schools and community organizations throughout his legislative district and Rep Stephen Kinsey will continue to be a voice of the people…all people!
